My Blog--for Beginners

If you are new to blogs you may have a few questions. So here are some answers and a short list of the insider jargon.
  • Blog is short for "web log." It is usually a daily journal that someone writes about whatever topics they choose.
  • My whole Adventures in Homemaker Land website is called a blog.
  • I am the author of my blog so I am called a blogger.
  • If you start posting lots of comments on blogs you will also be called a blogger.
  • The complete collection of individual blogs on the internet is sometimes referred to as "The Blogosphere."
  • Individual articles on a blog are called posts. I write posts, you can read them and then choose to post your own comments about my posts.
  • Words that appear in a different color and are underlined have a link attached, click on them to go to the link.
  • To read comments people have made about my post, just click on the word "comments" at the end of my post.
  • To email my post to a friend, click on the envelope icon at the end of my post.
  • I do not allow anonymous comments on my blog. So if you wish to post a comment you'll need to set up a FREE google/blogger account; click here to learn how to do that.
  • I have many clickable features on my blog so be sure to scroll all the way down the page to see everything.
  • To see who's blogs I like to read, go to My Favorite Links section and click on a title.
  • To read my older posts go to my Blog Archives section and click on the post title or month you want to read.
  • To read all my posts on a particular topic go to my Labels section and click on the topic of your choice.
  • To read about products, services and ideas that fit my SAH mom lifestyle go to my Stuff I Like section. I have links here to things that I use and like and have been good for family fun, home management, finding bargains, family health, homemaking, etc. It's my own personal product review column.
  • All these answers/hints will appear under a new section on my blog called Blogs for Beginners.
