The Brady Bunch

No, no, not them
. Us.

We are all really enjoying our new dog Brady. In fact you could say we have become Brady fans. He's walking very nicely on his leash now (thanks to his gentle leader collar). I took him out for about a 2 mile walk today and he did great. Thanks for the suggestion Leah! Josh and Matt have been walking him also so Brady is getting 2-3 walks every day. I want to make a daily walk with him a regular part of my schedule--especially now while the weather is so good.. He's learning the routine of our family. He's relaxing and sleeping more and often jumping up in bed with Matt and I in the middle of the night. However, one thing we've discovered about him. He must be part skunk because he can let go some really noxious gas of the SBD (silent but deadly) variety! Yesterday I worked on some training with him in early afternoon then made the mistake of taking him in the car to pick up Josh from school. All the way home he gassed the car with dog beef jerky treats. Wow! That's not something I want to repeat any time soon. Other than that he's been really good. Whenever someone comes home he gets very excited and wiggles all over then picks up some object and brings it to us--shoe, dirty sock, stuffed animal, whatever. So he has some retreiver instincts mixed in there somewhere. I look forward to doing obedience classes with him in June. Brady has his first vet appointment tomorrow morning. This will be the first time I'll have seen our vet since Othello's final visit there last June. We have the same vet and I think she'll be glad to meet Brady.
