Graduation Day for Caleb

Tonight Caleb will graduate to his purple belt in his Karate class. He started in January with Karate lessons and he's really made nice progress all these months. He takes lessons at USA Karate. Their first belt progression is: no belt, white, gold, green, purple, blue, advanced blue, then red. After that you enter the black belt program. With good focus and consistent practice kids can earn their black belt in about three years. But of course, that's not guaranteed. But Caleb is tracking along quite well.

He's learning alot and I've been able to see his self-confidence and self-control grow and develop. His instructor, Mr. Long, is so great with all the kids. It's obvious that he gets alot of joy out of teaching. Josh started Karate a few months ago and he also really enjoys it. Matt is starting next week. I'm very happy that all my boys will have another cool activity that they can all practice together and eventually, compete in.
