Today is Josh's 14th birthday. I can't hardly believe it. The time has truly flown by. I've had the privilege of getting to know this cool kid, spend oodles of time at home with him, watch him grow and mature, and see him face and overcome many challenges. He's a good kid and I'm blessed to be his mom.
On Wednesday night Josh had a birthday sleepover party with 6 other teenage boys. A night filled with video games, air soft war, pizza and 40 cans of soda.
This morning we let Josh sleep in and took the little kids out to the park for a while. Once we got back Matt took Josh out cell phone shopping. He got his first cell phone as a 12 year old and he's ready for a new one. They struck out at the T-Mobile store but they found one online that Josh likes.
Then we took Josh out to Q.Cumbers salad bar restaurant--this was Josh's choice. I just baked my famous super fudgy brownies and we'll enjoy those topped to the max in a little while. I've been making this brownie recipe since I was a teenager and they are the best! Josh has a few presents to open then I hope we'll get to watch another episode of Lost tonight after the little kids are in bed. It's been a good day.
